Behavioral Health Stakeholders' Consortium
Develops and implements a strategic plan for the community which will improve and enhance the delivery of substance abuse and mental health services for citizens. The group was created as a result of recommendations made in both the SCOPE Mental Health Report and the Community Alliance of Sarasota County Acute Care Issue Analysis. The Consortium has created a joint committee with the Criminal Justice Commission, a Planning Committee to develop a community-based substance abuse and mental health plan and a Crisis Intervention Team Committee (CIT).
